Morecambe or to be more precise Ocean Edge Caravan Park, and sneaked into Middleton Towers Holiday Camp to watch the cabaret 1968
The beautiful white beaches of ......................Great Yarmouth! 1968 and it rained for the whole fortnight, we travelled there in our little 1948 Morris 8 Series E car and it took nearly 5 hours from Leicestershire! We went to see ............Des O'Connor and Rolf Harris (!!) in Summer shows on the town piers, new Hubby was full of man flu, sneezing, coughing and feeling sorry for himself the whole time - ringing his Mum from a pay phone to tell her how he felt, we stayed in a dingy bed sit, where I proudly bleached the sink several times a day to show off my new "house-wifely" skills (what has happened since he asks ;) both sets of parents came to visit uninvited for 2 nights staying nearby - as chaperones? They had more fun than we did!! Honestly you couldn't make it up!
How many of you got married in black and white? Photos that is ........
Magicmick that has rang a bell with me, I remember holidaying at Middleton Towers, they taught me to roller skate. Funniest sight ever them trying to teach my mum to skate, she had them on the floor so many times.
