renault scenic display

hi all the LED display on my renault is very dim but viewable in certain conditions, i was wondering if there where a quick fix for this problem, as i had a pegueot 406 with this problem and the garage fixed it within 5mins and with no charge, thus making me think it could just be a fuse or something, thanks in advance..

How do you mean its dim? is it appearing as just black or are the digits faint? It could be the backlight bulb which has blown which is a 5 minute job to replace, but with some displays I have found that if you take it out and get to the display itself, you give it a good hard squeeze with your fingers it restores the LCD sandwich and you have your display back, hope this helps!!
