Seems like germs are flying all round the place at the moment with colds, flu and the norovirus.

Have you and your family managed to escape or been struck down over the festive season?

I've been lucky and escaped with just a bit of a cold (trying not to tempt fate!).

Wishing all as happy and healthy new year as possible x

That's what I thought it was, sprouts, but then I hadn't eaten many of those fart bombs....(though I like them if they steamed for just three or four mins).
I bloody well knew gness would have to get the three month thing in.
Jenna, dark rum toddies. :-)
Finish the scarf before you have yours though!!
Nope, twin grandbabies 11 weeks ended in hospital, one in Dundee one in Edinburgh, not good. One got out 4 days later, other ended up in IC. Got out on Christmas Eve . Hubby got very bad flu, and in the past week 7 of us have had the sickness bug. Not a good end to the year. But babies are recovering as was touch and go with one, and their sisters stayed with us for 2 weeks. Parents have been through hell and back. Next year has to be better.
Have had a bad cold for three days now. I can deal with the sniffles, the cough, the bad chest and headaches, but can't deal with feeling so lethargic, I am always on the go! Heavy eyes and feel so incredibly tired, I've slept a fair bit today. Also did not get to see a lot of my family over Christmas as they had the norovirus baddie
@DT...'fart bombs'....please stop, my ribs be hurting now....
Fairycakes. How awful. Hope the New Year treats all you family better.
A friends husband was really suffering with the flu, then he made a miraculous recovery,he got a phone call from his bowls club--they needed another player !!!
It was hell, but so proud of my family for rallying round and helping with picking up girls from school and nursery, babysitting and travelling to hospitals to let the parents go see the other baby. Everyone mucked in, least I know they are all their when needed.
fairycakes, I do hope babies and all of you have a wonderful New Year. The worry is and must have been unimaginable.
I have had cold and cough for a week or two. Just on its last legs now. I felt better when I heard the Queen had it too.
lots of sniffles and headcolds, we have avoided the norovirus though I fear it will surge with a vengeance when everyone goes back to work and school...
I've got norovirus, ME, the dreaded lergi etc,, or as Mrs V says ---

Man flu

If you want sympathy, don't marry a midwife...
Escaped it all, as we always do. The only illness round here is self inflicted.
giveup it is amazing how they revive and then have a spectacular relapse after the bowling is over. Mr Ask felt he could hardly walk last week, when I wanted to go to the shops. Somehow he managed to struggle to a bowling green and spent the afternoon with his mates. I suppose the man flu he is nurturing now will last up to March as gness predicted. I believe there is another thread asking if pensioners are getting more violent!
Yep....
I had noro, then post viral fatigue, 24 hours of feeling fine, then a cold, now back to the post viral fatigue.
Yep - the only illness I've experienced so far was my own fault (too much drink and chemicals!)
All OK so far,
Noro, that's a newish diet fad isn't it?
