I just heard about an alternative form of payment - I got rid of my CC as I cant afford to use them anymore and found that it is now fairly difficult to make online purchases! So, I am looking for a new payment method - hassle free and I was wondering if this PSC is widely used? Thought of as safe? etc.
Thanks for the help!

Most online shops now use Paypal.i have used it for years myself and have never had ant problems,I hope this helps
Happy new year
I'd advocate Paypal too - the people the other end never get to know your bank details.
I used to be scared to use my card online, so I used a prepaid mastercard. I think it charged 50 pence per transaction, so for small purchases that is quite high, but it suited me at the time
Playsafecards are used quite a bit now. Steam and Origin accept them for online purchases.
Presumably -as with other cash cards - you have to pay to load money on to them, too? so it can be quite expensive.
I have used Paypal for years now and have had no problem. They do not charge anything if you are paying out - which I almost invariably do - they only charge if you have sold something and the money is being paid in. I do not keep any money in Paypal at all and all they have of mine is my debit card number. What more could you hope for - and what I like about it is it is free.

CC dont cost any more than any other form of payment as long as you pay it off each month.

The danger is if you buy things on your CC and then dont pay it off each month.

Then the interest mounts up and then it gets expensive.

I have had a credit card for over 10 years and it has not cost me a penny as I pay it off each month.
What's wrong with a debit card?
Of course, it depends on your needs. Paysafecard is great for online gamers, Skype, online poker and so on. However, there are also other services, who accept paysafecard payments. You can book hostels and hotels on certain portals, for example, which I like the most.
This prepaid card is very safe, you can do nothing wrong with it. And another good thing about it is that you don't have to pay extra fees for transactions. At least, I never had to, and I've been using it for quite a long time.
Using a credit card for purchases over £100 gives you extra protection if something goes wrong with the transaction. You can sue the credit card company under s.75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 so I always pay for larger purchases with a credit card.

Get another credit card and use it carefully. It should be safe and cost nothing. As soon as you use it, pay it off immediately - it is easy to do so online or by phone.
