I see Margaret Beckett has been honoured. Has everyone forgotten that she claimed for floral hanging baskets as her parliamentary expenses? I havent.

where was she hanging the baskets? a publican can claim for baskets outside his pub

She was hanging them at home, not the caravan, although I expect we paid for that too, one way or another.
Floral hanging baskets are pretty small beer compared with others.

Don't forget David Cameron claimed for pruning his wisteria.

why do politicians want to abolish the lords when in power, yet, when past their sell by date can't wait to become lords etc.

DOTTY ,Publicans do not claim full expenses for hanging baskets ,just the tax relief ,Beckett and the other legal robbers claim the full expense

When was the last time an MP got a CBE or MBE. They seem to be showered with knighthoods or Dames as though their job warrants the highest honour.
