I have to say that I find Avid Merrion utterly unfunny, and the bear particularly so. It's just purile as far as I can see. Now, last night I watched Stewart Lee's 'Stand Up Comedian' DVD and that had me in stitches from start to finish; original, challenging, hillarious and masterfully performed. Why he can't get a television show and the bear can should be a matter of shame to TVs commissioning editors.

i like avid merrion and find him very funny but the spin-off series 'bears tale' was rubbish and i only watched the one episode.
