Where people were caught red handed stealing from a pub cellar, beer barrels and crates of beer. The landlord locked them in the cellar and called the police. The perpetrators also called the police as they feared they would be locked in all weekend. They were given a police caution. I fear for our society, I really do.

A caution lasts five years. I am not defending the actions of these two teenagers but I do not feel that theirs is the crime of the century nor do I feel they've been let of scot free. A caution hanging over them when they apply jobs is going to haunt then every step of the way.
