Instrument Panel

Hi ...I have a Fiat Grande Punto 56 plate and need to get behind the glass/plastic screen covering the instruments panel...there is a grey plasticsort of frame holding it in place which doesn't appear to have any screws so am assuming it just snaps into place....from past experience it is easy to break off plastic clips/lugs if you don't know where the are exactly...........any ideas truly appreciated......Thanks for any help.....

I think you will find that the plastic screen is glued in place & needs heat to remove, what the reason to remove the screen?

it does seem sort of loose as if it will pull off but I just don't want to snap it...there is a split in the plastic screen which is annoying me...no detriment really but find it distracting .....I'm a bit of a Mr Monk character and like things just so...mmm....;-)

The cheapest way & quickest way out of this Commoner, replace from a scrap yard, you can remove your milage reader etc, from your old unit & transfer to the new, I replaced the same on a E36 I had a few years back, cost to replace, £10.00 Scrapper)

Hi, I thought you said it has a split in the screen! there is a split in the plastic screen, I do not like things like this myself, the car I was on about! the back panel in the display began to flake & they only way was to replace, an hour later after previously getting a replacement, the job was done, put the one I took out & highlighted the "flaking" on ebay, I was £15 in pocket, hows that for a profit.
