I absolutely the farce that comes and the coerce that comes with it too. Big sister is asking me what does this present do and what does the other too. Bought a nice microwave for her - now that it is been taken out of boxes - big dent in left side. She threw boxes out but I know she is thinking it is contaminated. That is why I loathe Xmas. Toooooooo much money and heartbreake - I am on my own and never married but have relatives I see perhaps once a year (XMAS) spent £1,000 this xmas - can honestly say I got back about
£50 - don't get me wrong I am not exacting prices but it truly makes me think as I am known as the Maiden Aunt.

spend £1000.00 next christmas on a week in the carribean
The microwave - why would it be contaminated? Maybe just damaged - did you keep the receipt? Take it back to the shop and they should replace it!
I agree with Dotty, spend the money on yourself and have yourself a Merry little Christmas!

You wouldn't get much for £1000 in the Caribbean..............

If only I could -
depends when you book and who you use. that's not the point anyway the point is get away at christmas if it all pisses you off so much
And as for your sister, buy her a box of chocolates next year and leave it at that.
It was your choice to spend so much on gifts for your friends and family. If you think they are ungrateful then don't do it again next Christmas (or birthday).

As I said to you I am the Maiden Aunt - loads of friends but most are married so don't have nobody to go away with.
there's a week in the dominican up for grabs 6 feb AI £820.00. i'd go
I have a cruise buddy who is a widow like me. We didn't really know each other then went on a 3 week Caribbean cruise together and have been friends ever since.
You can even go on a cruise by yourself, P&O have a singles club for all those wanting to travel by themselves, and you'd never be lacking for company.
Know what you mean, I'm stuck with 4 boxes of blooping biscuits. Just by em biscuits next year connemmara. Sod em.
Saga do all sorts of holidays for singletons, I think there is another company too that doesnt charge a supplement for single rooms.I would not do a cruise alone could be awful lonely if you dont make friends easily or couples see you as a threat to stealing their man. Saying that the widower across the road to us went on a Saga singles xmas to Minorca and is now happily married to a Welsh widow he met on the holiday.
Maiden aunts are secretly envied they can do what they want when they want and have the money to do so.Get out there and enjoy.
Our Irish father told us no-one in Ireland over 14 got presents.
Was he lying to us,Connemara?
There is no way I would spend all that money to get nothing back!! How rude of them!
