I know you can do it with a business line, not sure about residential, there is a code you tap into your phone using the star and hash key with numbers for diverting your calls, but I don't remember them at the moment (you might find them on the BT website). Any calls diverted to your mobile will be charged at your mobile rate.

BT do call diversion as one of their packages. You can set up landline to divert to a number, inclusing mobiles, when you are out.

You can do it if you have BT Answer - I think that is what it is called - Your caller pays for the call to your phone and you are billed for the call from your number to the mobile. I don't think it has changed and I am sure other providers will do something similar.

Many thanks people. According to BT, divert switch on is *21*(number you are diverting to)#, to check this its *#21# and to cancel its #21#. This also includes diversion to mobiles but their definition of how much this costs is, to say the least, extremely unclear. I will check this out and attempt to contact a human being at BT for further info on charges, etc.
