Does anyone have any suggestions for a good barbeque grill cleaner ? I need something that really works, not just claim to work like Goo Gone grill cleaner.

Try one of these at : http://www.barbecue-online.co.uk/acatalog/BBQ_Shop_Maintenance_Products_25.html

HG Products, and Fuller also do a proprietary cleaner. Also see: http://www.thebbq.co.uk/Item/pump%5Faction%5Fspray%5Fcleaner/

Warm the grill before cleaning it to loosen the residue. Also get a good, shaped scraper device to lift the baked on dirt, or use a stiffened steel wire brush - a local commercial catering supplies company will get one of those for you, and be better than the domestic ones.

fairy power spray is really good for cleaning bbqs..
You can buy purpose bar b q, spray on cleaners from stores that sell the b b q equipment, the store with the initial H B do a good one, as do B & Q.....oops
I usually burn mine off after cooking, leaving the BBQ on high for a good 20 mins and then scrape off with a wire brush (this is for a gas BBQ)

hi peanut the easiest way byfar is a bowl of hot water and leave to soak for a few hours then replace the hot water and give them a realy good scrub either with a brillo pad or a wire brush and another little tip next time you have a bbq keep a wire brush next to it and when you have finished give it a good rub 95% will just drop off (scout leader 20 years and i used to cook with them all the time on open fires)
