A lady who helps in our charity shop will be 80 soon. She has no family so I am having a small tea party for her. Food etc no problem, but I wondered if we ought to have something to do as well, possibly party games. But what?.I'm hoping AB'ers might come up with some suggestions, please.

Seriously considering challenging Alba to a game of cards.......
That's the game, Baldric. I didn't realize that it was only popular here: a lot of the old folk really enjoy it, and can get quite worked up as the money in the pots build up.
Play Cole Porter music from De Lovely & present her with the DVD. Games to play: charades, I Spy, Gen Knowledge quiz (Q in her favour from history/geography). Round up with sing song of 50/60s pop songs. Invite a busker to play guitar, they always need work.

Just like the ivy on the old garden wall
