just cancled sky the box wont record no is there anyway i can get it to record without taking a sky package back out

If you cancel Sky you cant use any of the special facilities on the Sky box(like Record).

You cant even watch any of the programs you may have already recorded.

If you don't want Sky again you need to buy a Freeview+ PVR. If you have a HD TV you will need a Freeview+HD PVR
