PC cleaning

There are 4 people use this PC, each with their own IDs. I, apparently, am an administrator. When I do a virus/spyware scan, I can see all the other users' names and files etc being checked. When I do a disk clean up and defrag and remove all the temporary internet files and empty the recycle bin etc, why is it that the other users still have stuff in their recycle bins afterwards? I know they haven't put stuff in there since the clean up, so do they need to do their own disk clean up? Sorry, I must sound really dense, but I hope you understand my query! Thank you!

If you are using Windows XP then each user will have their own folder to store their own files, desktop layout etc (that is the point of having their own IDs).

So each person has to clear out their own internet files etc.

Each persons folders are stored under "C:Document and Settings"

So if you have two users, FRED and JANE, then FREDs files are held under

C:\Documents and Settings\FRED\....

and JANES files are held under

C:\Documents and Settings\JANE\.....

If you click on "My Computer" then "Local Disk C:" you can see the "Documents and Settings" folder.

Note do NOT delete files directly from these folder as Windows keeps all sorts of things in there, hidden files, hidden folders etc so leave them as they are.
