Wi-Fi b and g?

Right, so my PSP apparently has WIFI 802.11b, and my Wanadoo Livebox uses Wi-Fi 802.11g (I think - it's a new one with a stupid great flashing W on the front of it). I'm trying to set it up so that I can play online games on my PSP, but can't get the two things to connect. I therefore assume that it probably has something to do with the different types of Wi-Fi being used, but does anyone know whether there is an easy way to fix this problem (withught having to buy a different broadband box!)? (God knows what Wi-Fi my MDA3 uses, but that doesn't work either!)

not sure why there should be a problem as I beleive G is backward compatible with B (would have thought possibly problems the other way but not G to B)

The fact that your PSP uses B and your Wi-Fi box uses G is not a problem, it will only cause the whole network to run at the slower B speed - not typically a problem for most people who are just using it for the internet.

Your problem may well be that your Wi-Fi modem has security enabled and you will need to add the information to your PSP settings to allow it to connect.

This could be a combination of the WEP password settings needing added, the MAC address needing added or the network name (SSID) not beig broadcast and needing added.
