Am still stuck on 71, 83, 90, 99 & 100. Seems like a few other contributors are too. Would be good to know if anyone has finished it yet so that I feel that I've still got a chance of getting there before the end of the month! Of course, any help in the right direction would be gratefully received...

I enjoy the challenge of this annual quiz and usually get there in the end but these are getting the better of me! Any clues???

100. ORANGE SERENADE - became popular at weddings a few years ago as an alternative to Mendelssohn's Wedding March, I think after it was used in a film, but can't remember which one.

I have seen mew grapefruit suggested for 90.

I look at this this every year for a friend and like you I am struggling this year. Any hints for/answers to te following would be appreciated.

Like you I also need 83 and 99. I very tentatively suggested pink pineapple for 99 on another thread but it is not really convincing.

Many thanks Tiger38. I was thinking along the lines of another piece of music suitable for weddings for no. 100 but despite searching hadn't come up with any mentioning fruit. I had no idea about no. 71 though. Novalis - some clues to the ones you are missing : no. 15 is the nickname of a Barcelona footballer, no. 20 check out Vic Reeves on TV, no. 91 Ed is a singer-songwriter whose debut album contains the word Monster. Hopefully these should enable you to get to the answers. Still a few weeks to go!

The answer i got for no 15 was never a barcelona player and has nothing to do with football, but if you want to go with ramon may be that will be accepted

Many congrats Bluemooners! I'm still stuck on 99 & 100. Like you I've been doing the quiz for many years and have been "mentioned in despatches" for having got all the answers right but never won any £££. Still, the fun is in trying to complete it. We clearly don't have the same answer for no. 15 (but mine isn't Ramon either) but I know the setter is more open to alternative answers these days. Given that 99 & 100 seem to be the ones most people are stuck on still I suspect you will be unwilling to divulge the answers but any tiny clue to help me on my way would be appreciated! But if not, best of luck this year with winning a prize.

Hi again and many thanks. The answer I found is the latin name for a herb as well as a footballer who joined Barcelona in 1984. But perhaps it's a bit obscure... still no joy for the last two though.
