I rather think that figure was either misread by you redvanman or a gross exaggeration by someone.

Why single out the Poles? A helluva lot of Poles came here during WW2 and have established here. They work sodding hard and pay tax, NI etc.

Some people make me cross in their sweeping, ignorant generalisations. I was part of the Polish community for years so I am qualified to comment.
