cant find a category suitable to put this in, so here goes ... does any body else ever experience this, or is it just me? I have toothache at the moment, and every other item on the news seems to be about dentists or oral hygiene; i picked up a book the other day to read and the authors was describing their toothache. I went to work today and someone was telling me about their daughters experience at the dentist, whilr later on a colleague from another department was asking if there were any nhs dentists in the area.
this all left me flummoxed, but can you tell me this: is this just a coincidence, or am i more attuned to toothache related stuff because i have one? This seems to happen to me all the time eg: you will read somebodies name in the paper that you havent heard for a long time, then over the next few days you will hear it 20 times, or you will hear an unusaul word used, then lo and behold someone random uses it the next day! Is it just me?

I know what you mean though - things or people from your long term memory are brought to the surface when something triggers that memory.
And about the word coincidence, the same thing happened when i read a book and the same word was said on a documentary. It was ironic.
Sometimes I like to think that these things happen and there is some relevance in the future.
You mean all those dentists killed in the German ice skating rink or down the mine in Virginia ?
The dentist in the Kremlin has been trying for world peace by cutting off supplies of gas (would that be laughing gas, Kazza ?) to Ukraine
Meanwhile the dentist on Pennsylvania Av has been polishing his state of the nation (dental health) address.
