Car transporters
3 Answers
Are the cars strapped onto the car transporters or are they just parked on there? I am terrified of driving behind them because of the way the cars just hang down as if they are going to fall off. Don;t they jiggle about with the bumps in the road?
Please tell me they are strapped on, and if they are parked on, how come they don't fall off? The weight?

I have been told that it is not unknown for cars to suffer roof damage from going over large bumps or potholes as clearance is limited. On the smaller transporters used to move broken down cars for the AA, RAC, etc. cars are held in place by straps tying the wheels to the vehicle bed.
