I contacted Amazon and got to speak to a woman with a Chinese accent. She offered me the Toshiba phone number. When I said my contract was with Amazon,after four times she relented. The TV is now going back to Amazon via Yodal. At first she said take it to the post office. I declined this and said I wanted a courier to pick it up post free. Eventually she agreed. So pick up Friday. Thanks for all answers especially Chris who told me my rights. They, Amazon have said it will take me four weeks to get my money back, as they no longer stock the TV ( I wonder why)
Yodel delivered a parcel (hooded cat litter tray) to me today that had to be immediately repackaged and sent back to the company I purchased it from as it had a 7 inch crack in it. It was obvious that it had been damaged in transit as the box had 3 holes and some dents in it.
