Basic Help Required For Minecraft Please.
My son is playing Minecraft on his iPad. He wants to purchase it on our iMac too. I'm not very good at these things so he has the ability to pull the wool over my eyes. Is there a valid reason for wanting it on the iMac if he already has it on his iPad? Is it different on each? It's £17.95 to download it to the iMac. He has already paid £4.99 to download it on his iPod which meant he got it on his iPad when he synched them, but apparently we can't synch the iMac with the iPad and get it that way. Also, he says he can then play with his friends in their houses if he has it on the iMac but he can't do that on his iPad unless they are actually in our house with their iPads. TIA.

I'm looking into putting it on my old laptop for our son but the laptop is a bit knackered. I can't seem to find out how much memory etc Minecraft will take up. I don't want to spend £17.95 only to find it won't work on the old laptop. Plus I assume I would have to buy different versions for a laptop to an iMac so if it didn't work on the laptop and hubby gave in we wouldn't just be able to log in on the iMac instead. All advice appreciated. TIA again.

With the desktop version of Minecraft you just buy an account which allows you to download the install file again at any time - you just need to make sure you remember the login details.
