Back in the 1700's an English cat called 'one,two,three' had a race across the channel against a French cat called 'un,deux,trois'. The English moggy reached the shore at Dover and was crowned champion because 'un deux trois quatre cinq'
I think that the cats would have to be 'calmed' - at the very least with Feliway spray and maybe even with a sedative. If they are not used to a journey they may get very stressed and very noisy.
