Has anyone had any dealings with the Office of the public guardian for making a power of attorney application?

I'd be interested to hear any experiences or comments about how easy or otherwise the process was.

Thanks in advance.

in the process of doing this, download the forms from above link
The process is simple enough if you understand what you are doing - there are plenty of guidance documents to help you.

It is a bit longwinded though

Using a solicitor might be easier if you are uncertain - but very much more expensive

^ That's the problem. They seem to want to charge you £800 for basically supplying the documents you can get off the website, helping you fill them in and then posting them for you.
