He was a ski jumper, which is all about aerial coordination.

And he was a trampoline coach, which is all about aerial coordination.

He has a bit of an advantage over the normal "celebs"

You have to be totally insane to go down one in skis.

Totally agree on the fearlessness aspect, but the coordination required was to remain upright.

He may not have had as much coordination as the Swiss or Austrians, but he obviously had more coordination on a short fall through the air than anyone else in Britain.

i do agree that alot of the body discipline for both trampolining and skiiing are similar to the control and coordination needed for high board diving. He;s very good at the diving and quite elegant even, being able to keep the muscles in the arms and legs so symetrical whilst racing towards a pool head first is very taxing i would think and the last thing most beginners would think about was elegance
