Sky Tv Goes Onto Stand By ?

SKY TV, in the middle of watching a program,a Warning comes up but if you miss it our SKY cut's off ,any idea why this is and more importantly HOW do I stop it from happening.

It will only usually do that if you have had it on without touching anything (volume, channels etc...) for quite some time.

If you are having it on for a long period just faff with something every now and again.

It's to save electricity, ours usually switches off in the middle of the night though. I think, if you go into services you'll find an option to switch it off.

Our Virgin Box did the same thing. The box was set to turn off if it hadn't been touched after a set period of time.
We went out one night and set the timer on the DVD box, to record off the Virgin Box - the damn thing switched itself off halfway through the recording lol :(
We've since disabled it, so I can confirm that there is an option to disable it - at least on a Virgin box, so I'd assume that there is the same option for a Sky Box as well :)

There is an option in sky as well.

You can go into the sky box optons and set it so it does not go into standby.
