I've done some research on where and when is best to go to see them etc but I wondered if anyone on here has had a similar holiday; and hoped that they could maybe give me a few tips.
Haven't been shivvy but we did a lot of research too recently and I was just wondering if you came across a place called Porjus in Sweden? Seems like it's a good place to see the lights from.
A few years ago we went to an Ice Chapel wedding in Finnish lapland (200 miles inside the Arctic circle. One of the expected highlights should have been the Northern lights which are visible on four nights out of five in that region, but a full bright moon washed out everything. So be aware of the moon phases before you book.
