""Stephen Hendry jumps on Steve Davis's misses every chance he gets".
- Mike Hallett, Sky Sports
Whilst there is no doubt that the standard of play has improved enormously in snooker (especially the "long game") I believe that the pocket template has changed since John Parrott's day and they are all slightly more forgiving. The snooker authorities deny this but I am not so sure.
I have completely gone off television snooker. I used to be glued to it, but then the commentary men only spoke to tell you stuff you couldn't see for yourself. Now they babble all the time, and distract from the play. Just can't watch any more, even with the sound turned off, it's not the same. Shame.
