I have got the Co-op equivalent of Philadelphia Light. Has anyone got any ideas for using this? Preferably savoury rather than sweet - Thanks

Lovely on toasted bagels.
Fill celery sticks and sprinkle with salt.
Blitz with smoked salmon or mackerel for a quick pate.
Fry mushrooms and garlic add a dollop of cream cheese and season for a quick pasta sauce.
Just because you're not using Philadelphia cheese, it doesn't mean that you can't use their recipes. There are over 500 here:

This one looks rather nice to me:

Brilliant. Thanks Eccles and Buenchico. I'm enthused now.
When you make a quiche-put a few dollops of 'philly' in the eggs and whizz with a stick blender-adds richness. Though I'd prefer full fat.
stuff chicken breast wrap in bacon....yumyum
You could mix it with a few herbs, slice open a chicken breast and fill it with the cheese, wrap a streaky bacon rasher around it (and hold it closed with a wooden cocktail stick) and bake in the oven. I get smoked mackeral, take the skin off, mix with the cheese, paprika, pepper and lemon juice to make pate.
You can create a savoury mousse if you can get hold of a tin of consomme.
use 6oz philadelphia, one 6oz tin beef consomme, 1 small clove garlic, pinch of curry powder if you like, or small dash Worcester sauce. Put them all in a liquidiser and whiz until smooth. Pour into 6 small dishes or ramekins, refrigerate until set. 1 hour at least. Serve as starter, with chopped parsley on top and hot toast to accompany. It will keep for a day if covered in clingfilm.
If your friends are greedy, divide between four dishes only.
peel back the foil, get a spoon and dig in! No cooking, prep or washing up involved, just sheer enjoyment. Although, if you want to push the boat out, buy some pringles to dip in!
Use in baked potatoes instead of butter
Lovely on ryvita this time of year. yummy!
I like AlwaysConfused's suggestion...;-)
