A lady asked my daughter last night, there used to be a small animal sanctury next door to where my daughter works and they used to take them.

I would also be interested to know where I can offload used foreign postage stamps
You will probably find your local hospice are wanting them. I also save mine for my local branch of the Guide Dogs for the Blind.
I am a registered collector for the Guide Dogs. When i have a sackkful of stamps they come and collect them from me
They always prefer the foreign stamps as they get more money for them.
Yes; however, nobody has answered what the charities do with them to raise money: I don't know either...Interesting question.
The charities sell them to stamp dealers. So much a kilo, I think, rather as the Scouts used to get when they collected waste paper.
The dealers sort out any of special potential value, and most of the rest are then probably sold on to other dealers overseas.
Thanks, TOMM033.
Our local RSPCA charity shop also take stamps.

I always send mine to Brechin Cathedral in Scotland and they go to help overseas Missionaries.
