Facebook Query

I don't do much on FB, but I belong to two closed groups of interest to me. All of a sudden I've started being notified of calendar events "local to you" which are all in Ireland, so not local at all! How can I stop these notifications? they don't interest me at all, but there is no drop-down menu to try to stop them.

You are right, fluffy, I posted not realising he was still logged in - i asked Ed to take his down (he doesn't do facebook)

Try hovering over the RHS of the link to see if something pops up, you may get a drop down menu where you can disable notifications. I'm on the iPad so can't do it from here to see if it works.

Nope, nothing like that, rocky - it's headed Upcoming Events, all there is on the right is a ? which doesn't do anything if you hover.

Aha - I can go into the Events listing on the left hand side, and Hide them all - but what a pain, they are all about alcoholic events in Ireland.

I've just clicked on Events, and the only thing you can do is move your cursor to the right of the thing you want to disappear and there is a cross that gives you the option to hide the event.

Judge, I've managed to do that, but this Bacardi Legacy thing just won't go away :-(
