Cold Weather Payment.

Do you receive this and has it been credited to your electricity bill?
I had a letter from E-ON to say it would be credited to my account but I changed to paying by direct debit about 6 months ago and the payments haven't changed, so how do they work it out if you pay this way?

Yes that looks like the one daffy. I phoned a friend of mine whose circumstances are the same as mine and she said she gets £200 as Eddie and craft have said but she has no idea why she gets that and she said it's paid straight into her account.
I take it I will have to wait until I get a statement to see if it's been applied.
Alba if you look on the link that slaney put on, you will see it's not just EON who do this.

For clarification:
The £130 isn't a winter fuel payment, per se; it's a payment given under the Warm Home Discount scheme.
When you pay by direct debit your electricity supplier continues to read the meter and calculate bills, in order to see whether you're ahead or behind with what you need to pay. Your monthly payments are then adjusted accordingly. When E-on next looks at your direct debit payments, to see whether they need to go up or down, your account will be £130 better off than it would have been without the the Warm Home Discount scheme, so there will be a smaller increase (or even a decrease) in your monthly payments.

I get the winter fuel payment as I am over the qualifying age. Last year I missed out because I was 10 days too young. The qualifiing age is the age for a man or woman is the date at which a female born on the same day would qualify for a state pension. It is £200 per household so we will not get more when my wife reaches pension age as well.
It appears there are 3 different payments.
£200 is the Winter Fuel Payment which is paid straight into your bank
£25 is the Cold Weather Payment which is also paid straight into your bank
£130 is the Warm Home Discount Scheme which is credited to your electricity bill.
I must admit I didn't realise that until I saw the link.
