I know a lot of ABers are competition fans like myself but has anyone ever won anything from Take a Break?
I enter quite a few comps with varying degrees of success but myself & 5 workmates have done TAB since it started many years ago but none of us has ever won anything.
we each do the puzzles ourselves & then compare them so we know we are getting them right.
I wonder if we are wasting our time (buy I enjoy doing them anyway).
Don't they publish a list of winners in every issue? I won £400 worth of shopping vouchers from them a few years ago. Keep trying, you never know your luck
Yes do Chat also, no luck there either! I used to post them and now I enter online but still no luck, its pleasing to know Sandy has won or I would think something was a bit fishy.
Not won anything as such, but there used to be a 'We Love Our Pets' page - readers were invited to write a story about their pets. I wrote about one of my rescues, it was printed and I got £250.
I don't think they do it now - I'm going back a few years.
Yes, it was nice Millie. They told me they would use the story but didn't give an exact date, so it was nice to pick up the magazine and see it in print.
I know what you mean SirP but you know if YOU or your friends have won, I have won many prizes & several from the same publications but not having won or known of anyone winning from a paricular mag makes me wonder.
My friend`s won something from TAB (can`t remember what though). I used to cheat. I used to look up the answers on that Marina`s site that was closed down. Then I realised that you didn`t need to buy the magazine at all as you could enter online (which is probably why Marina was closed down - she was affecting magazine sales). I used to do TAB and Chat. Never won anything. I decided to expand my options by doing That`s Life too. So I did it for the first time and won 100 quid!
You can still find the answers every week on the hot UK deals and money saving expert sites. Not that I'm saying that's where I get my answers.... I still buy the mags though
