I have a brand new Sandisk Sd card which I have to return to the Czech republic at my own expense before they will send a new one. I thought I would just have to post it with normal postage stamp for the EU but Sandisk now tell me it has to be trackable

Does anyone know how I can do this cheaply otherwise it will not be worth my sending it back (which is possibly what they are hoping) but out of principle I would like it replacing

.

It was a new SDHC micro card supplied with an adapter. The first time I used it the card would not come out of the adapter and I dont know whether I could just use it with another make of adaptor.

Well, I've looked at the postal options and they don't seem to make much sense for your purposes. 'International Signed For' will cost you £6.02. That provides tracking within the UK and a signature upon arrival. Tracking all the way costs a fortune (£35.71 + VAT).

A more sensible option might be to ring Sandisk UK on 0808 234 9816 (or 0203 3183 965) and get the problem sorted out wholly within the UK.

Yes, I've been through the Sandisk Uk number and there is no depot in the Uk to sent it to, the only way to return it is to the Czeck republic address which is the only depot in Europe!!

I have sent them photos and have a complaints number.
Did you actually buy the card from Sandisk or from a retailer?

If it was from a retailer, your contract is with them (NOT with Sandisk) and it's the RETAILER'S duty to put faults right, not Sandisk's.

It was from a retailer but I cant remember where. I tend to buy things like this and keep them until I need to use them. I do know it's within the last year or two and have explained this to them, quoted the reference number on the back of the adaptor and they are happy to send a replacement.. If it was a UK depot I would just sent it with proof of postage.

Someone has suggested I just buy a new adaptor from Poundland and that may be my best bet rather than pursuing this.

I just thought someone may have a bright idea for sending it cheaply.
