Coronation Street has been on for 45 years, whether that's the longest, i'm not sure.

We went through this a couple of months ago. The longest-running programme is Panorama, which debuted in 1953. Actual news bulletins didn't start until 1954. Blue Peter started in 1958 and is the longest-running kids' show.
