I posted this on my other thread, but as it's quite old now, you might not have seen it.
I've been reading some reviews on the Epson R300, and most seem to be very good. I didn't originally want a printer that was mainly a photo printer, but it does sound good.
A couple of questions. Some people have said there are issues with XP and SP2 (which I have). Do you or your mum have these, and have you noticed any problems with photos printing very dark? Also, how do you find it for everyday use, text and so on?
Thanks a lot.

It is working fine under Windows XP and SP2. Worth checking for the latest driver downloads from Epson site. NB - now replaced with slightly newer model (check if the R300 has been replaced also).
