Put the calorie /sugar etc content on the labels of bottles of alcohol?

It's always on fizzy and soft drinks, but never on wine and spirits. Is there a reason why not??

Ive only ever seen it on low alcohol wine, but generally it isnt. Just thought that seeing as the labelling is compulsory on foodstuffs then why not on all alcohol.

only a guess but its not classed as food so they don't have to??

I'm not sure, maybe if they don't have to they don't want to highlight how much sugar is in it.

A friend told me the other day that Weightwatchers wine is apparently lovely and quite strong too.

I guess if they put the amount of calories on the bottles it would put people off lol.

Could you imagine how many people would cut down on drinking if they thought they'd put on half a stone a year just from drinking wine?

i can easily put a bottle of wine away and as for lager, i drink more than 5 pints, ok its pretty much shandy which probably makes it worse cos of all the lemonade....

and i wonder why im fat...
