Bike Tyre Puncture Protection

after a knee replacement hoping to start cycling again come spring.
because i now cant kneel down im a lot worried re punctures.
i have looked around the web sites and found slime inner tubes, tyres fitted with kevlar lining etc..
taking into account my problem please could someone give me allround sound advice as to what will suit me best.
something lightweight has to be a major considerati on.
many many thanks for any help from experienced bikers.

I would think solid tyres cheaper than kevlar - the ride might be slightly harder, but you'd be guaranteed no punctures.

Carry a can of "Fix-a-flat" with you. It does exactly what it says on the can. Amazon seem to be out of stock but I'm sure Halfords etc. will have something similar.

I've got self healing inner tubes fitted to my hybrid bike. They will not prevent rips and tears, but seem to work fine otherwise.
Not had a puncture for about a couple of years of road and trail use.
