You are forgetting that the clue itself contains numbers:

. . . and do you count homonyms? Will to count as two?

You get the idea. You can then make the total whatever you want depending upon what you decide to include and what not to. My advice is "Don't waste your money on this type of quiz".

We have been watching this quiz for 3 days now! (Yes sad I know)!

These are the number today which people have phoned in:

0, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9

11, 12. 13, 14, 15, 16, 18

and loads more too - the most popular being 58, 59

I have sat and worked this out and think the possibility could be 8408 or 8417

That is counting the number answer to the questions and using the roman numerical.

The other answer is including the word numbers on top.

PLEASE SOMEONE PHONE IN! SO CAN CHANGE THE CHANNEL!!!

jaguarxj6 and nigel39 for goodness sake change channels now and get a life. Watching for questions and answers on even this site is better than watching that endless channel of expectation. As a diversion, even you might want to count the numbers in this post! I have highlighted some to give you a bit of practice if you intend to continue with this folly.

thanks everyone for replying.i know these quizzes are disgraceful its only pure luck that gets the answer,ihave been monitering this show for awhile now,and i am amazed and furious that this programme is allowed to be broadcast.the crossword puzzles are my main concern ,the last one was solved with the word [rely] which meant that the corresponding words in the crossword were FERM FALE SWYLL can anyone tell me what these words mean ?I think this show should be booted off air ,how do i go about this?
