This occurred to me only after I'd posted my earlier answer, but Abigail is definitely right, too! As an old English teacher, I thought immediately of 'Macbeth', the Shakespeare play. However, there was also a truly historical person called Macbeth, who was indeed killed by Malcolm at the Battle of Lumphanan. So...we're all right!
Off point a bit,but was the killer of the real Macbeth born by caesarean section, or some such intervention ? I'm not asking because his mum should have been too posh to push but because Shakespeare has Macbeth killed by someone who was 'untimely ripped' from his mother and so not 'of woman born' ;so showing up a dubious piece of (mac) duff soothsaying by the witches.
