What is it with kids riding scooters around supermarkets? Today in a smallish M&S my mum was looking at the food and a mother and her 9/10 year old kid came along. The kid was riding a scooter up the aisle and actually expected my my mum (an 82 year old) to get out of his way and the mother seemed to expect the same. Luckily mum stood her ground and they went around her. I`ve noticed scooters in Sainsburys too. The staff don`t seem to have the gumption or initiative to tell them to pack it in as whizzing up and down the aisles is dangerous.

Me too Baza.......on a scooter or bike..depending on the boyfriend of the day. ;-)
Thank you Chris...:-) Never got to Margate .
parka or leathers , what a choice.
>>>Never got to Margate

Lucky you! Lovely beach (but you need several dozen tattoos on your body, and a noisy ghetto-blaster on your shoulder, to go on it). *** town.
Had a Parka...a leather jacket with a studded angel on the back and the hippy afghan....Lord I was fickle. :-(
Ooh, it seems that you're not allowed to write 'sh¦tty' on here!
had a mk 2 ford consul, could pull every time when it rained on a bank holiday.
Rain on a Bank Holiday? That's a hell of a lot of pulling Baza. ;-)
Lived in E/kent for 25 years, when we moved down here Margate was 'on the up' lots of improvment schemes over the years as it's just got steadily worse.
Margate's only got one thing going for it, Baldric:

"a brat with a scooter"

"If the mother didn't like it, then tough, I would have shoved her into the freezer cabinet. Sorted".

Wow! bitter angry supermarket fascism, let me guess, you're a Daily Mail reader.
lol lol 'bitter angry supermarket fascism'. Nope menopausal mother of three who doesn't suffer fools mowing down pensioners in supermarkets.
...and a Daily Mail reader?
possibly.
HA! :-p
AP:
Please don't use the ultimate insult! While AB's mods can tolerate a certain amount of abuse on here, calling someone 'a Daily Mail reader' is definitely going much too far!!!
;-)
lol lol
Hey, Sammy48 - a *Mod* considers being called a Daily Mail reader to be an insult, are you going to shove him in the freezer?
Night night folks ;-)
When waiting in car for my grandson at school lots of mothers carry these scooters with them when picking up their children for their children to ride them home. I must admit my G/son has one but he is not allowed on the street with it where people are walking.
