What is it with kids riding scooters around supermarkets? Today in a smallish M&S my mum was looking at the food and a mother and her 9/10 year old kid came along. The kid was riding a scooter up the aisle and actually expected my my mum (an 82 year old) to get out of his way and the mother seemed to expect the same. Luckily mum stood her ground and they went around her. I`ve noticed scooters in Sainsburys too. The staff don`t seem to have the gumption or initiative to tell them to pack it in as whizzing up and down the aisles is dangerous.
Lived in E/kent for 25 years, when we moved down here Margate was 'on the up' lots of improvment schemes over the years as it's just got steadily worse.

Please don't use the ultimate insult! While AB's mods can tolerate a certain amount of abuse on here, calling someone 'a Daily Mail reader' is definitely going much too far!!!

When waiting in car for my grandson at school lots of mothers carry these scooters with them when picking up their children for their children to ride them home. I must admit my G/son has one but he is not allowed on the street with it where people are walking.
