Thanks dot
my daughter got caught out with this a few years ago as the email had the paypal logo on the top, her account was used to buy a couple of small items at 99p, we spotted it before they managed to really get anything with it but it was not easy to get paypal to intervene
Paypal say that genuine e mails from them start off with your first and second name.
it reeks of scam, be on your guard carrust
I believe it to be a phishing scam. Had one last year. Don't click on any links from it. Forward email to paypal phishing scam/fraud dept.
i've just receieved an email from PayPal headed 'your account has been limited' it's in my junk box and i have not opened it, i had a real one from them 20 minutes ago confirming a payment for an ebay customer, the difference is the genuine ones are from [email protected] not just PayPal!
There are often spelling mistakes and bad grammar which is also another way to assume they are suspicious.
I got one yesterday and forwarded it on to Paypal to look at. Havnt heard back from them yet though. Just logged on now and have a similar one from Barclays Bank !! please Be careful
