Ebay Changes In Royal Mail Posting

As of 14th January, Royal Mail has banned a list of substances which cannot be sent through ANY international Mail to anywhere in the world, see this link....

As we were in the PO today, the person serving us also stated that this list is also being brought onto usage in UK inland postage wef March 2013 as well.. We have been warned!

Worth knowing - this will put a stop to selling things like beauty sprays and nail varnish on eBay....

I've just reached for the Royal Mail booklet (dated 1st February 2010). As I expected, aerosols and flammable liquids were listed there anyway. I'm also confident that they were listed in the Post Office guides (which were like thick paperbacks and listed every possible thing you could need to know about Post Office and Royal Mail services) which I used to buy in the late 1960s!

:-) I suspect a lot of items have been ignored, then..... but the guy in the PO asked us very specifically today what was in a parcel going to Scandinavia.
