what web browser would you to recommend to a novice computer user who has vista operating system and norton internet security 2008 and norton home works and uses waitrose as their ISP?

It will come with Internet Explorer. You might as well use that.

Well they can have more than one browser on their computer so why not download a couple of others and see what they prefer.

Vista comes with IE7 as a default.

You can also get Firefox or Safari or Opera for free.
