Can anyone suggest a remedy for yellow spotting on the leaves of my young camelia bush?

It could be "chlorosis" (not sure of spelling) due to lack of acidity. try some "ericacious compost or firtiliser. they are acid loving and should be treated like rhododendrons and azailias..

Camelias prefer a light soil nearer netural to high in either acid so check your soil and if it is heavy add grit and organic matter. If it is very high in lime then you may need to pot grow the plant. A good site to check for information is http://www.crocus.co.uk/pestscards/chlorosis/

Some TLC should see it looking great.

Another little tip i just thought of, if you are a tea drinker you could save all your tea leaves / bags and use them as a mulch / feed for your shrub. The "tea" we commonly drink is actually a type of camelia Good luck..

Recomended ph levels for camelia are 4.5 - 5.4 on the ph scale, 7 being nutral. Figers below 7 indicating Acidity and above 7 indicating Alcalinity.
