Probably because your company does not want its staff to be using internet or email without it being able to check what you are doing, sending or receiving.
I have just changed to privacy mode and was able to log on here.

So yep, your job wants to monitor you every move you make on your computer. And why not, you are getting paid to work using tools which were provided by your paymaster.

Well actually it is in the rules you can use the Internet how ever you wish so long as it is not illegal.
The company I work for is a .org company you see
Aaahh, yes I can see that working for a .org would make all the difference!?!?

So why are you trying to log in incognito?
Your problem isn't that you are using the internet for your own use, you company allows that. Your problem is that you are trying to hide what you are doing by using privacy mode. Companies must see what is going on in their business even if it is your personal use.

Dunno really why not? I even do private browsing on my phone and home computer. I like my privacy don't you?
It's their computer at work, mine's the same (being on .org makes no difference, I don't know why you mention it!), the employer has a right to see everything you do on a work computer.

Why would you want to private browse on your home computer if nobody else uses it?
Question Author
Hi I mention it as its a non profit organization therefore and not that focused Internet use age.
Makes no difference really how internet-savvy your organisation is, it's still their computer.
