Very Unusual Name

What do you do when someone names a baby what you consider to be a very odd choice. Obviously you don't want to upset them, but will have to make some sort of comment eventually.

When I was in registering one of our children, I was sitting down in the waiting room waiting my turn to go in, and a couple next to me were discussing their names on their short list for their baby son.....do you know what they decided on?...and it was on the strength of his Dad's mad obession for a pop group and their lead singer........

Suggs!...........yep, they went in before me with the sole intention of calling the poor little chappie, Suggs...........they looked at me for approval and I said " yeah, its not one of the norm, is it?"

I was called into another room and never found out if they carried it out.


I was too busy naming Adam Ant ( only joking.............it was Alvin Stardust )

Not quite the same thing, we had a member of staff with the name Tobaisewicz, known to all as "Tub of Sh-t"

My favourite of all time is Margaret Legg and Mr and Mrs Legg had no idea what they had called their daughter (think of the derivatives)
