Jumping Letters

Any suggestions as to what could be the fault on an ACER 17 inch portable computer suffering from the following symptoms.
The computer has worked fine for quite a long time. Now however when one tries to send an email or do word processing after typing a couple of lines of text the individual character suddenly appear randomly placed all over the document. It is not that you press "a" and get a "z" or a "Y" or any other character, the correct characters appear but randomly placed as if they have jumped about.
The operating system is Windows 7 and attempting to re install has not done anything.
It is only when using the keyboard that is problem occurs.

I had the same problem and cured it by disabling the touchpad.

You need to save your documents and reinstall your programmes. You will also need your Word office disc if you are not using the Word programm that came with your PC. Most PCs need reinstalling after 138 hrs processing.
