Noooooo Chickenpox

In A&E after being sent in as have suspected chickenpox so having drugs injected in with being on methotrexate. Blistery itchy spots spreading :(

No question really, just passing the time more as don't think I'm going to get much sleep tonight. The staff deserve a medal for some of the things they have to deal with.

Sorry to hear that - I had a visitor to China who contracted it and the hotel were wonderful in treating him, thereby avoiding hospital. He was in the room for two weeks and didn't know where he was for five days.... for him, it was the second time that he had it, the first time being very mild, and compounded that he had been globe-hopping and was exhausted.

Then came the issue of moving him back to the UK. Hong Kong at first refused to take the air-ambulance, and my Chairman and I had to go and see Chris Patten, who shook his head and signed it off for him to land and be transferred.

Thanks all :) Still in and a bit itchy but its not spreading :) White cell count still up and still on anti-vitals. Still waiting on blood results to say if chickenpox or not.

Haha, thanks Mrs O :) Don't worry there is a Costa :) I have my eye on a lovely looking cake they have there if still here later. Still waiting on blood results, immunoglobulins I think. They have been asking questions about the steroid injections in my hips and the entry site of one has gone very sore so keeping an eye on that.

Wow... It really is going about isn't it! I hope you feel better soon Jenna :) Oh and don't pick them! I was 12 when I had them and I was determined I wouldn't scar. Was I hell doing as I was told! Pfft! Haha! My own fault I suppose.....

It's doing the rounds at work just now. If any child comes in with even the hint of a spot we're on their back checking them every bloomin minute! Lol!
