We're off on a family holiday to Orlando and have been told that the cost of hiring kid's car seats is almost the same as buying them
Any ABers got experience of this?
Could we take our own car seats on the flight and would these be classed the same as push chairs (ie free?)
Thanks!

I am pretty sure car seats will be charged for on aircraft these days.
I would not be surprised if the cost is not nearly as much as the purchase price of a car seat as they can be quite heavy.
I have had a quick look on Alamo car rental, and it would seem that it costs about $70 to hire a childs car seat for a fortnight in August. Whether the costs are the same with other car hire firms I don't know, but I'm sure you could google it. I would suggest that you contact your airline about taking your own car seats on the flight, as anyone answering on here would only be guessing. Your airline would be able to give you a definitive answer.
