Army Way Of Using Toilet Paper.

Given everything has to be "taught" in the Army, from cleaning your teeth, to shaving, ironing and polishing your boots, are you surprised that there are instructions on how to clean one's self down under.

Take 1 sheet of toilet paper.

Tear it in half.

Punch a hole in the centre; save the disc for later.

Put one's second finger through the hole.

Now clean one's rear, finger up, one swipe frontwards, one to the rear, one for polish.

As the finger is pulled out, wipe the finger used with other side of tissue and throw away the tissue into the toilet.

Take the disc that you punched out - that is for cleaning under your fingernail.

My BIL used to tell a tale of training local recruits in desert lands where they were used to cleaning themselves with sand.

When proper latrines were installed, they kept blocking, as the sand was put down the loo instead of paper.

The CO showed the recruits how to use the paper (with actions) and went away satisfied

The next day, the toilets were more blocked than ever.... the lads had wrapped the soiled sand in the paper, and flushed....
